Now Let's Enter the Bank

Entering a BVI bank can be intimidating and the long lines might just make you want to make a u-turn out the door. Before you make that u-turn, look for the receptionist and tell them what you want to do. Most of the banks in the BVI have reception areas near the entrance where a receptionist answers your questions and directs you to the bank employee who can best handle your needs.

Customer Service Representative

A Customer Service Representative can answer questions about the bank and will assist you in opening a checking or a savings account.

Bank Teller

A Bank Teller is the person, usually situated behind a secure counter, who takes your deposits and cashes your checks. The bank teller will also help you deposit or get cash from your accounts. If you have a passbook from the bank and need it updated, the teller will also assist you.

Loan Officer

A Loan Officer will provide you with information about getting a loan for purchases, such as a car or a mortgage for a home. The loan officer will provide you with information you need to qualify for getting a loan.

Branch Manager

The Branch Manager manages the branch operations of a bank and its staff and makes sure the bank runs properly. If none of the other bank employees have been able to assist you or to answer your questions, making an appointment to meet with the Branch Manager can be your next step.
